What You’ll Do as an Accounting Clerk (Generalist)

• Manage daily accounting tasks such as income audit, billing/collections, accounts payable, and cash deposits.
• Handle confidential guest and financial information with integrity.
• Support hotel staff with accounting and clerical functions, including time clock edits.
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues with a customer-focused approach.
• Ensure accurate and timely credit card and cash deposits/refunds.
• Monitor cashier over/short procedures and report discrepancies.
• Assist corporate accounting with month-end responsibilities and reporting.
• Balance hotel ledgers (guest, city, advance deposit) with the general ledger daily.
• Collaborate with the GM on financial statements and reports.
• Use Excel, Access, and other platforms to submit data and reports to corporate.
• Other tasks as needed to support the accounting function.

What You’ll Bring as an Accounting Clerk (Generalist)

• Experience:
  • 1+ years of accounting experience (required)
  • Hotel or front desk experience (preferred)
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Familiarity with POS/PMS systems preferred
  • Experience with Birch Street, Concur, Profit Sage, Sage300, and Workday is a plus
