What You’ll Do as Chief Engineer
- Lead Property Maintenance: Oversee the hotel’s engineering operations and enforce brand and Prominence Hospitality standards.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure regular communication with all departments to align maintenance goals with overall business objectives.
- Plan Preventative Maintenance: Schedule, implement, and evaluate preventative maintenance programs for all building systems, equipment, and guest areas.
- Support Profitability: Monitor and control labor, materials, and energy usage while ensuring guest safety and comfort.
- Team Collaboration: Assist with technical support, emergency maintenance, and cross-functional team projects as needed.
- Create a Positive Environment: Be a visible leader who supports a team culture focused on safety, quality, and accountability.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience & Education: Prior experience in building maintenance, engineering, or facilities management; brand hotel experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems. Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer and administrative skills to manage maintenance logs, work orders, and budgets.
- Leadership: Proven ability to motivate and lead a team while maintaining safety and service standards.
- Certifications (Preferred): EPA Universal, HVAC, or related maintenance certifications.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.
